Spirobank smart remote

First time posting as recently joined! I'm a practice nurse in a GP surgery. It has been suggested we look at spirobank smart to perform spirometry on our COPD patients and those who need periodic checks, especially at the moment due to restrictions. Does anyone have any experience of the device and any thoughts on using it? I had never heard of it before an email this evening. Any feedback or advice would be gratefully received!

Thanks,. Sarah

  • Hi Sarah

My advice would be not to purchase anything until we are given advice from PCRS / ARTP/ BTS. It looks still to be an AGP and therefore a lot more considerations around completion with infection control and room air changes/risks etc are required. I would advise the surgery to hold off until further advice published.

    Thanks  Jo

My experiencing of giving equipment out (BP monitoring, pulse oximeters) is that we more often than not fail to get them back.
